Take ALL Universal Waste to the Warehouse for disposal or recycling.

  •  All Universal Waste should be removed from equipment and taken to the Warehouse immediately or as soon as practical for proper disposal.

  • When removing and transporting lamps, be careful not to break the lamps. If it is broken, please sweep up and take to the Warehouse.

  • The Environmental Department is responsible for developing Universal Waste labels.

  • The Supervisor of the Warehouse is responsible for properly labeling each container prior to placing any universal waste.

  • The Accumulation Start Date should be placed on the label once the first item of universal waste is placed in the container.

  • There shall be no dents, leaks, or visible structural damage to the containers. If containers are damaged, the material must be transferred to acceptable non-damaged containers.

  • Contact the Environmental Department when the container is full and ready for shipment.
    The container must be shipped off within 1 year of the Accumulation Start Date.
